CORRESPONDENCE :

Letter from Career Clinic re possible evening held to cater for parents supporting their teens in making career decisions.    Presentation from Caroline Sandford followed


TREASURERS REPORT :


As Beth had tabled her apologies for this meeting the current balance is recorded as per last meeting :  $1,551.02

GENERAL BUSINESS :

Caroline Sandford – Career Practitioner offered the opportunity to hold a 1 hr presentation evening covering tools for parents in career planning.
Discussion followed on possibility of joining forces with WBHS.   Would be targeting from year 10.
Suggest Monday 6 or Monday 13 August for this evening. 
To charge $5.00 per head to attend.
Barbara to check with Careers Team and Principal re the possibility of this evening, and any conflict of interest that may be there.


STYLE DOCTORS EVENING
Wine – Penny has quote – and will organise using WBHS fundraising opportunity that they (WBHS) are running at the moment.   To check if we can utilise the discounted price (and perhaps share this discount).

Donations for the auction so far include :
Hand made cards
Scrap book lesion
2 x 1 dozen wine
4 x vouchers for Oesteopath visit
In addition – there is a comprehensive list that Barbara has.

Promote through North Shore Times – speak to Sarah Coddington
Kristina, Eliza and Annuska to meet up re poster and ticket design
Poster tickets to be designed

Barbara to follow up with the following re their designated tasks
Joanne (Liquor Licence, and catwalk availability),
Donna and Beth (storage of auction items, and being point of contact at school)
Donna (contact with Academy re decorations – flowers etc)
Tania (MC for the evening).


WBHS
Michelle had been in touch with Spencer on Byron and determined it was too expensive as a venue for a combined PTA event.
Other suggestions include : Quiz Evening on 18th October
Dinner at Venice – Kitchener Road.   Offering a set price menu of $30.00.   Suggest 14 September.   Wendy to confirm pricing and availability for this night.

Next meeting to be confirmed : possibility 24 July.
